Empire Road EP ~ Review ~

I do not claim to be a music expert.  I am not even a huge fan of popular music.  Yep I am one of those people, I tend to eschew it just on principle... but mostly because a lot of it sucks pretty bad. I rarely, if ever, listen to the radio.  I stick to my iPod and CDs (you know those plastic discs that music used to come one... I still buy them on occasion and shove them in my 6-disk changer in my car).  There is a reason I like the little plastic disks though, I tend to support local, independent, and up and coming artists.  I love it when I know that an artist put their heart and soul into the music and it isn't the product of big business.

I have pretty eclectic tastes when it comes to music and I LOVE to find new jewels.  When I had the opportunity review the new self-titled EP from an up and coming band by the name of Empire Road, I jumped at the chance.

Empire road is a 5-some from New York.  They exhibit smooth vocal, great lyrics, rocking instrumentation, and an obvious passion for their music.  You can feel the energy coming through the speakers.  These 5 tracks flow well together and are great as background music or front and center music.

Listen for Yourself:

  1. Cyberstar

  2. Hollywood Sober

  3. Lost in California

  4. Wasted Away

  5. No Need to Remember

Find Empire Road on the Web, Facebook, and Twitter.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
