My View:

Hmm... what can I say about Latitude Extreme? It is the second book in the Latitude series from Stephanie Hecht and Jackie Nacht. It follows 3 of the minor characters from book 1 as well as a newcomer, Luke, as they once again take on an "Amazing Race" type adventure. This one, of course, being geared to the LGBTQ community. The story itself was an okay read, but I had a number of issues with it. First there were a lot of inconsistencies in the story line. For instance the race is supposed to be 6 weeks long, but only lasts maybe a week (I had the same issue with the first book in the series). Nothing is so bad that it renders the book unreadable or anything, just a few annoyances I guess.

As for the love story itself, I just wasn't feeling it at.all. Enemies to lovers stories, such as this one need more angst leading up to the big fall in love seen. I wanted more back story. I wanted to feel their hatred, their desperation, and finally their love... but I never felt any of it.

It is a quick read, and if you need a feel good book with a happy ending, this is a good choice. Also, though this is #2 in the series, it doesn't really depend on book 1 (Latitude 45). Though, you do get more background if you start with book 1.
